NIM-4E/M Cisco Fourth-Generation Network Interface Module Voice interface card

This model (Network Interface Module) is a Cisco hardware component that provides four ports for connecting to E& M (ear and mouth) circuits. E& M circuits are used in telephone systems to provide signaling and control between telephone switches. The module allows for connectivity to legacy telephone systems in a Cisco Integrated Services Router (ISR) platform. It supports both E& M Wink Start and Delay Dial signaling types. It supports both voice and data communications and can be used in a variety of applications such as PBX connectivity, voice gateway functionality, and Voice over IP (VoIP).
